1999:14 Highway members flew to Cape Town to take part in the Cape Town Big Walk. They had distances from 10kms to 80kms.
I did 32km and Marion (who was living in Simons Town) did the 80km. (No more long walks for me thank you!!) Marion won a prize for being the oldest lady 80km finisher!
Later that year ..... I walked the 50km ultra again with Linda and Gemmy.
What a glutton for punishment.
But, this was my very last ultra.
NO MORE LONG WALKS!
NEVER, EVER AGAIN !!!
